Yeah, I know it's a weird title. But here's the thing…we're moving. At least, we're planning on moving. I haven't mentioned it because it's really more of a personal nature, but it's a huge part of our life at the moment. And it's taking up tons of our time.

For weeks, probably months, we've been cleaning and making repairs on our house in preparation for putting it up for sale. While I'd like to say we're excited at the next step in our lives, really, it's been so exhausting that neither of us has time to be excited. We've painted everything that doesn't move in the house…and fortunately for The Princess, she's still moving (albeit slowly), so she managed to escape the paint roller. We've patched and painted, cleaned and moved, rented a LARGE storage unit, taped more boxes than we care to count, and tossed so much trash…it's a bit beyond comprehension. Even though our bodies have comprehended every minute of it. If you were to see The Giant and me, we're both walking around partly stooped over, partly limping, paint streaked on every body part…and almost every item of clothing we own. I can't tell you how many shirts and pairs of pants we've ruined. Bah.

We're kind of on a time-schedule, so we're hoping someone comes to look at our house and falls in love with it. Quickly. There's no time like the present, right? We've enjoyed our time here–and The Princess has loved her big fenced-in yard–but we're ready to move on. Although the future can be uncertain, we're looking forward to what is has in store for us.

So next week, the sign goes up, the house goes in the online database, and the appointments begin. The Princess and I will become well-acquainted with the deck and the backyard. We won't be leaving the house every time there's a viewing, but we'll be hiding outside so people can look at their leisure and in privacy. Here's hoping the bad weather and storms don't bombard us. As much as The Princess hates them when we're inside the house, she won't stand for them outside the house!

Wish us luck!
