This one is an easy one for me. There's really only one word for W.
W is for WARRIOR.
: a man engaged or experienced in warfare; broadly : a person engaged in some struggle or conflict <poverty warriors>
This word doesn't just mean soldiers. It means anyone who fights. Some for good and some for ill. It can be viewed more literally as just someone in engaged in war, or more broadly, as in anything that is a long uphill fight.
I've had a long affinity for warriors and warfare. I nearly joined the military until the idea of four years of enlistment seemed like an eternity to someone who was almost 18 and finally FREE! (if I had only known…)
I've been a wargamer for over 20 years. Played paintball. Read hundreds of books. Wrote more than a few stories.
And I like to fight.
