Back to playing by the rules.
This wasn't the word I had originally planned to use. That word, sadly, lost in the recesses of my mind, buried under stories yet untold – and probably also stories told over and over to Rida despite the fact that she sighs repeatedly when I start them. (Some of those are on purpose, of course)
So I had to get a new word. I asked Rida about 4:00 if she had her word already – no, I hadn't checked the site, because it's been a busy day. She said that she had. I asked if it was my word – because occasionally she does that, preempts me, and I have to find a new word.
But not today.
S is for Serendipity.
: the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for; also : an instance of this
I love the word. I love the phenomenon. Too often it happens and people don't even take the time to realize it. But we're all too quick to call attention to bad fortune – rain on the parade, if it you will. Take the time to stop and appreciate the cool breeze, too, people. And that $100 bill dropped on the ground in front of you….bonus.
