The Thursday Theme is music.

My musical tastes can be described as eclectic, easily. My iTunes of 8600ish songs is mostly set to Random and I will gladly listen to Opeth followed by Tori Amos then Pantera followed by selected Billy Joel tunes – Rida is more of the Billy Joel fan, but there are some songs of his that I like.

Periodically I'll get very involved in the music of one of two artists and listen them to with greater exclusivity over the Random spinnings of my library of songs. This changes just about weekly. The last time I blogged about music, I believe it was AFI that was my top choice – or maybe it was 30 Seconds to Mars.

Currently, it's Imogen Heap.

Her music isn't really my normal fare – it is very electronic, very synthesized stuff. She likes to layer her voice over and over in tracks to create almost a choir effect – of herself. I'm fascinated by it, and her CD "Speak For Yourself" is getting lots and lots of playtime from me.

That is when I'm not interjecting a little insanely heavy metal like Trivium or Meshuggah to the mix. Man's gotta have variety.
