I can hardly believe that it is already mid-January. December was largely a blur – holiday-filled, gift-gathering-distracted, end-of-the-year-distracted. The New Year has not provided much in the way of relief, but perhaps this is an opportunity to pause, breathe, and look around.
And look ahead, of course.
Draumr Publishing should have some 2007 predictions if not resolutions.
So, let's look at the crystal ball, shall we?
In 2007, Draumr Publishing shall:
Publish at least ten new works of great fiction. I predict four of these will be from our existing stable of very good authors, and six will be from new authors. One of these books might even be from me, if I ever figure out the ending.
Add another person to help Rida and I deal with the submission pile, and possibly help with the layout duties as well.
Add three more artists to our cover artists collection. We've been very lucky to work with some very strong artists so far, so these three will have a lot to live up to.
And a few less serious ones:
Figure out some way to translate Norm Cowie's work to English, and probably English back to Norm so he understands us too.
Take Misty Simon's keyboard away from her, because she is too darn prolific by half. She's making me look bad.
Figure out what's in the water in Utah that makes JulieAnn Henneman…well, JulieAnn Henneman.
