(Why yes, I am posting late in the evening, again, on a weekend…but not LATE)
Today I'm tackling a classic. It's an emotion we all have. Sometimes selfish, sometimes selfless, but always present, at some level, in all of us.
H is for Hope.
Function: noun
1 archaic : TRUST, RELIANCE
2 a : desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment <came in hopes of seeing you>; also : expectation of fulfillment or success <no hope of a cure> b : someone or something on which hopes are centered <our only hope for victory> c : something hoped for
The story of Hope in Pandora's Box is one of the first myths I recall hearing. It's probably the biggest parable from the Greek Myths. And it has a bittersweet ending – even when you unleash all sorts of horrors on the world, Hope remains.
And Hope lasts.
