I've been sick. Since my last blog in February, I got sick, ended up on antibiotics, was in bed and out of commission for a couple of weeks. It was, to put it nicely, not good. I'm still not 100%, but I'm trying to catch up and stay caught up.

So I wanted to catch you all up.

We're just days away from releasing Misty Simon's new book, which happens to be the third in the Bandmates series. Titled, Strings Attached, it's guitarist Chris Niles's story, and I think you're really going to enjoy it! Watch my blog and twitter for announcements on the upcoming release.

On a personal front, we've ended our customer service fiasco with Us-Mattress. They had to replace the replacement box spring, which arrived in semi-okay condition. The material on the bottom of the box spring had pulled away from the sides, but we re-stapled it. There was also a small tear on the material, but it wasn't going to affect the box spring, so we accepted it. However, there's been basically nothing good about this transaction. It was a terrible hassle, and in the end, the mattress we purchased is already dipping on both sides. It was a big waste of money, and I suspect at some point we're going to have to go through the warranty process to get the mattress replaced. I don't blame that on the mattress store specifically, it's the industry that blows.

And lastly, we're dealing with a family crisis here, in that my uncle is in the ICU in critical condition. So if you're waiting to hear from me, it's possible my responses will be delayed as we've been running back and forth to the hospital.

That's pretty much it for now.
