I'm Robert, and I am a news-a-holic.
Not really, you see. I don't watch CNN or MSNBC or (retch) FOXNews. No, I'm glued to the web and keeping an eye on Washingtonpost.com and, um, for more specialized news related to my gaming hobby, news sites that cater to them (like theminiaturespage.com, www.gamingreport.com, and even Slashdot).
I like being "in the know". I prefer not to be surprised when someone says "Hey did you hear about XXX? Amazing!" I can nod smartly. That's awfully erudite of me, isn't it?
It's not a problem per say. I can quit any time that I want.
(Wonder what's happening over at www.penny-arcade.com right now? Let's go check!)
Maybe I need to get a wireless PDA with constant newsfeeds….
