Frequent readers of this blog – heck even some of you less frequent ones – are aware that I'm quite a music fiend, and rarely do I tolerate silence for long. I have my headphones on with iPod attached even as I type this….<\/p>\n
…but I'm not actually listening to music. I've actually got a Podcast playing, the very Aussie "Podhammer" podcast, talking about Warhammer. <\/p>\n
Rida and I have discussed for some time how to cross the audio barrier, bringing some of the very fine Draumr novels to audiobooks. While it's not something that Rida and I use much – I've listened to only a handful, simply because I'm very in favor of the printed word for my book delivery. But that doesn't mean we don't see the appeal for those who do consume them, so we're in favor of sharing our books with them.<\/p>\n
The question is – how?<\/p>\n
So we've started experimenting with recording someone reading the books. That someone….so far, has been me. <\/p>\n
We're not quite at a point yet where we have something to share, but here's my present thought. Since we already offer the first chapter of EVERY book that Draumr has for FREE, what do people think about having an audio version of those first chapters also available for free?<\/p>\n
